Two extra leafs made to match
The cabinet was received in a poor state as can be seen.
Restoration completed, having required the majority of the veneers and brass ormolu to be removed and reapplied using traditional scotch glue.
Having finish the repair work the cabinet was then re-french polished and waxed.
This table had white marks caused by hot dishes. White head marks are the result of moisture being drawn out of the timber and getting trapped under the polish.
Removed by heating the damaged area to gently to draw out the trapped moisture without the need to strip and repolish.
This piano needed to be hand stripped down to the bare wood then stained and french polished to a high gloss finish.
This beautiful Brazilian Rosewood round table had its old damaged finish removed without any sanding to preserrve its colour, then french polished and waxed by hand. Sanding the Rosewood would turn it very dark destroying its glorious colouring that has developed over many years.
This reproduction solid Oak Table came into the workshop to be distressed coloured and polished to resemble a 300 year old finish.
